Install LeadHunter Desktop
Two minutes from download to your first lead.
Your OS may warn you the first time — we'll walk you through it.
Windows installer
Windows 10 / 11 · 64-bit · ~120 MB
DownloadRun LeadHunter-USA-Setup.exe
Double-click the installer in your Downloads folder. Windows SmartScreen will show a blue dialog the first time — that's expected for any new app and it's only two clicks to get past.
You'll see this — here's what to click
Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting.
Step A — click More info
Click the small underlined "More info" link near the top of the blue dialog. Do not click "Don’t run" — that closes the installer.

App:LeadHunter-USA-Setup.exe
Publisher:Unknown publisher
Step B — click Run anyway
The dialog expands and shows two buttons. Click "Run anyway" on the left. "Unknown publisher" is normal for new installers — it doesn’t mean the file is unsafe.
Pick the install location and click Install
The default location works for everyone. The install itself takes about 60 seconds. When it finishes, the app starts automatically.
Find the LeadHunter icon in your system tray
Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen, next to the clock. If you don't see the icon, click the small ▲ arrow to reveal hidden ones.

Click the icon → Sign in
A small popup opens. Click Sign in… — your browser opens, you sign in to LeadHunter, and the desktop app picks up your session automatically.
Sign in to start monitoring
Wait for your first lead
LeadHunter starts monitoring your communities right after sign in. Open your Leads page to watch them come in.
Tip — flip “Keep computer awake” ON
In the same tray popup you'll find a Keep computer awaketoggle. Turn it on so Windows doesn't go to sleep — monitoring pauses while the OS is asleep.

Get the mobile app for push notifications
The desktop app does the work. The mobile app buzzes your phone shortly after a verified lead lands — so you don't need to keep checking the dashboard. Sign in with the same account.
Without the mobile app, leads still appear on your dashboard — you just won't get the push notifications.
If something goes wrong
The few things that actually trip people up.
The Windows blue dialog has no "Run anyway" button.+
You're still on the first dialog — click "More info" (small underlined link near the top-left). The dialog expands and reveals "Run anyway".
I installed the app but I can't see the LeadHunter icon in the tray.+
Windows hides icons by default. Click the small ▲ chevron in the bottom-right of your screen, near the clock — LeadHunter is usually in the hidden group. Right-click it once and choose "Show icon and notifications" to keep it always visible.
I clicked Sign in but no browser opened.+
Make sure your default browser is set to Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (not Internet Explorer). Right-click the tray icon → Sign in… again. If a browser opens but you see "Missing nonce", you opened the URL directly — start over from the tray icon.
I'm on a Mac and macOS won't open the app.+
Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down → click "Open Anyway" next to the LeadHunter line. Confirm with "Open" in the follow-up prompt. From then on it launches normally.
Is the SmartScreen warning safe to ignore?+
Yes. SmartScreen flags any new unsigned app, regardless of what it does. It only means Microsoft hasn't seen it many times yet. The installer doesn't request admin rights or modify system files.
