An all-in-one app for contractors and handymen: find jobs, quote, invoice and get paid

LeadHunter USA, from LeadHunter USA LLC, is an all-in-one app for small contractors and handymen in the United States: job alerts, a free CRM for customers, quotes and invoices, and card payments, in one account. The CRM is free, card payments cost 3.3% + 30¢ per US card with no monthly fee, and LeadHunter USA Alerts is $75 a month after a 7-day free trial with no credit card.

Short answer

Instead of one app for leads, one for customers, one for quotes, one for invoices and one for card payments, LeadHunter USA keeps them together. You pay only for the parts you use: the CRM is $0, Payments charges only when a customer pays by card, and Alerts is optional. A business phone line is coming soon. It was built by a contractor.

What is an all-in-one app for contractors?

An all-in-one app for contractors is one account that covers the office work of a small trade business: finding jobs, keeping a customer list, sending quotes and invoices, and taking card payments. It replaces several separate tools, each with its own login. Larger field-service apps also add crew scheduling, dispatch and team logins.

A new handyman, plumber, cleaner or painter usually ends up with five separate tools: something to find work, a notes app or spreadsheet for customers, a quote template, an invoice app and a card processor. Each one has its own login and, often, its own monthly bill. LeadHunter USA covers the same five needs in one account, with one login.

01

Find jobs: LeadHunter USA Alerts

Homeowners post in local Facebook groups when they need a plumber, a cleaner or a handyman. LeadHunter USA Alerts sends those job requests to your phone, for your trade and your area, so you can answer while the post is fresh.

  • $75 a month or $720 a year, flat. Nothing is charged per lead.
  • 7-day free trial, no credit card.
  • The requests are posts from homeowners, not leads sold to you. Whether a post turns into a job depends on you and the customer.

02

Keep customers organized: LeadHunter USA CRM

Every customer gets one card: their details, your notes, a timeline of the job and a stage (New, Talking, Booked or Done). You can see who you quoted, who approved and who still owes you, without scrolling through texts.

It runs in the web browser on your phone or computer, and it is free. More on what to keep for each customer: how to keep track of customers.

03

Quote and invoice from the same place

  • Quotes. Line items, tax, a discount and a “valid until” date. A quote can carry two or three options and can ask for a deposit on approval.
  • Approval. The customer approves from a link on their phone, or in person on your device.
  • Invoices. An approved quote becomes an invoice, showing every payment already made, deposits included.
  • Receipts. A card payment, or a cash or check payment you record, becomes a receipt on the customer’s card.

“Send from my phone” opens your Messages app with the link filled in, so the text comes from your own number. As of October 2026, the free plan has no monthly cap on quotes or invoices.

04

Get paid by card: LeadHunter USA Payments

Customers pay by card from the invoice, from a quote deposit, or from a QR code you show them on the spot. Payments are processed by Stripe, on your own Stripe account.

  • 3.3% + 30¢ per US card, all in: Stripe’s standard 2.9% + 30¢ plus a 0.4% LeadHunter USA fee.
  • No monthly fee and nothing to pay to join.
  • On a $500.00 payment by card, the fees are $16.80 and you keep $483.20.
  • The first payout usually takes 7–14 days from the first card payment; after that, about 2 business days.

05

A business phone line: LeadHunter USA Line (coming soon)

LeadHunter USA Line will be a business number for calls and texts, separate from your cell. It is not available yet, and there is no public price. Until then, you send quotes and invoices from your own phone.

How does it compare with Jobber and Housecall Pro?

LeadHunter USA CRM is free: $0 a month and no trial that ends. It has a calendar for visits but no crew dispatch or team logins. A one-person business that mainly quotes, invoices and gets paid by card can do that with LeadHunter USA CRM and LeadHunter USA Payments for $0 a month, plus 3.3% + 30¢ on each card payment.

What Jobber, Housecall Pro, Square and others say about their own plans, prices and card fees, quoted in their own words and checked every day: free CRMs for contractors compared.

Who it is for, and who it is not for

LeadHunter USA is built for the owner who does the work, answers the phone and sends the bill. If you are setting up the business itself (license, EIN, bank account, insurance), start with the first-month checklist.

Good fit

  • A new or one-person home-service business: handyman, plumber, cleaner, painter and similar trades
  • Owners who quote, invoice and get paid by card, and want no monthly bill for that
  • Owners who want job requests from neighbors sent to their phone, at one monthly price

Not the right tool

  • Crews that need dispatch, routing or several logins
  • Businesses that need bank (ACH) payments, a card reader or bookkeeping in the same app

Built by a contractor, for small contractors

LeadHunter USA was built by a water treatment contractor. He spent thousands of dollars on lead-gen services that promised great leads but mostly delivered junk. The leads that turned into jobs came from local online communities: neighbors posting “anyone know a good plumber?”

So LeadHunter USA Alerts is one flat price, $75 a month, with nothing charged per lead, and the CRM a small business needs to quote and invoice is free.

LeadHunter USA is made by LeadHunter USA LLC. It is not related to other products or companies named “LeadHunter”.

What apps do I need to start a handyman business?

Most new handymen need five things: a way to find jobs, a customer list, quotes, invoices and a way to take card payments. LeadHunter USA covers all five in one account: LeadHunter USA Alerts for jobs, the free LeadHunter USA CRM for customers, quotes and invoices, and LeadHunter USA Payments for cards. You still need a business bank account, insurance and a way to do your books, which LeadHunter USA does not provide.

How much does LeadHunter USA cost?

It can cost $0 a month. LeadHunter USA CRM is free, with no trial that ends. LeadHunter USA Payments is free to join, with no monthly fee: 3.3% + 30¢ per US card, only when a customer pays. LeadHunter USA Alerts is optional: $75 a month or $720 a year, after a 7-day free trial with no credit card.

Why is the LeadHunter USA CRM free?

Every business needs one place for its customers, quotes and invoices, so LeadHunter USA gives that part to everyone. LeadHunter USA earns only when you choose to take cards through LeadHunter USA Payments (the 0.4% fee inside the 3.3% + 30¢) or add LeadHunter USA Alerts.

Do I have to pay for the lead alerts to use the free CRM?

No. LeadHunter USA CRM does not need LeadHunter USA Alerts, and LeadHunter USA Payments works on its own or with the CRM. Pick only the parts you want when you sign up.

What does LeadHunter USA not do?

There is no crew dispatch, routing, team logins, bank (ACH) payments, card reader or bookkeeping. If you run a crew on a schedule, a field-service app with those features fits better. LeadHunter USA CRM includes a calendar for your visits that also shows in your phone's Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, and customers pick a visit time from the times you offer on the quote.
