Missed call text back for contractors

Miss the call. Keep the customer.

When you can’t pick up, the caller gets a text from your business within seconds. You reply from the LeadHunter USA app when your hands are free, and ask for a Google review when the job is done.

How it works

01

You miss the call

You’re under a sink or on a roof. Your phone forwards the unanswered call to your LeadHunter USA business line. You keep your own number; nothing changes for calls you do pick up.

02

They get a text within seconds

The caller hears a short greeting, can leave a voicemail, and gets a text from your business: "Mike’s Plumbing: Sorry I missed your call, I’m on a job. What can I help you with?" You write the wording.

03

You answer when your hands are free

Their reply lands in the LeadHunter USA app with a push alert, in an inbox that’s separate from your personal texts. Tap a ready-made reply, type your own, or call them back.

04

Job done, ask for the review

Mark the job done and send your Google review link in one tap. Every customer you pick gets the same request, with no "were you happy?" filter in front of it.

What’s included

Automatic text to every missed caller

Sent once, with your business name, within seconds.

Business inbox in the app

Customer texts, missed calls and voicemail in one place, apart from your personal messages.

Quick replies

"On my way", "Can you send a photo?" — your own, one tap each.

Voicemail

Callers can leave a message; you get a push and can play it from the conversation.

Google review requests

Pick the customers, send once. Held until morning if it’s late.

Opt-outs handled for you

Anyone who replies STOP is never texted again. We register your business with the carriers so your texts get delivered.

What it won’t do: text from your personal cell number (carriers don’t allow it, so texts come from a local business number that starts every message with your business name), or text a landline. For those you get an alert to call back.

Who it’s for

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, handymen, roofers, landscapers and cleaners who run the business from their own phone and can’t answer it while they work. If most of your calls come in while your hands are busy, and a missed call usually means the customer calls the next name on the list, this is built for you. If you already have someone answering the phone all day, you probably don’t need it.

The first five get it first

We’re setting up five contractors personally before launch. You get a founding pilot price, a direct line to us while we set up your forwarding and carrier registration, and a say in what gets built next. Nothing is charged until your line is live and you’ve agreed the price.

No payment now. We’ll contact you before launch. Your details are used only for this.

Questions

What is missed-call text back?

When you can’t answer, the caller automatically gets a text from your business within seconds, so they have a way to tell you what they need instead of calling the next contractor on the list. LeadHunter USA sends that text, puts the conversation in a business inbox in its app, and lets you reply when your hands are free.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. You keep your own number. You turn on your carrier’s "forward when unanswered" setting, which sends only the calls you don’t pick up to your LeadHunter USA business line. We walk you through it for your carrier and test it with you.

Will the text come from my number?

Not from your personal cell. Texting services can’t send from a number that lives on a cell phone plan, so the text comes from a local business number in your area code and always starts with your business name. When you call the customer back, it comes from your own phone as usual.

Is it OK to text people who called me?

We keep it deliberately conservative. The caller first hears a short greeting saying a text is coming and that they can reply STOP. They get one text, it names your business, it has no offers or links in it, and anyone who replies STOP is never texted again. We also register your business with the phone carriers (10DLC registration), which they require before business texts get delivered at all.

How do the Google review requests work?

After a job you tap "Job done" and send your Google review link, or pick several customers at once. Everyone you pick gets the same request. There is no "were you happy?" step that sends only the happy ones to Google: Google’s review policy prohibits that, and the FTC has warned businesses against it.

What about landlines and blocked numbers?

A landline can’t receive texts, so for those you get a push alert to call back instead. A caller with a hidden number can still leave a voicemail.

When is it available and what will it cost?

It is in testing now. The first five contractors who sign up on this page set it up with us personally, at a founding pilot price agreed with each of them before anything is charged. Public pricing will be published at launch.

Is this the same as the LeadHunter USA lead alerts?

No, it’s a separate product from the same company. Lead alerts find homeowners asking for your trade in local Facebook groups and Nextdoor. Missed-call text back makes sure the people who already call you don’t slip away. You can use either one on its own, or both in the same app.
