Short answer
Customers pay by card from your invoice, a quote’s deposit, or a QR code. It costs 3.3% + 30¢ per US card, all in, with no monthly fee and no setup fee. Stripe sends the money to your bank. The first payout usually takes 7–14 days from your first card payment; after that, about 2 business days. Cards only, no bank (ACH) payments.
How customers pay you
LeadHunter USA Payments gives your customer three ways to pay by card.
- 01
From the invoice
The customer opens the invoice you sent, taps “Pay by card” and pays the balance due.
- 02
The quote deposit
The customer pays the deposit on a quote they approved, until you make an invoice from it.
- 03
A QR code
“Get paid” turns any amount into a QR code. The customer scans it, and your screen turns to Paid when Stripe confirms it.
Safe for you and your customer
Payments run on your own Stripe account, through Stripe Connect. Stripe opens the account in your business’s name. You are the merchant. More on QR codes in QR code payments for contractors.
- The amount always comes from your document. Your customer cannot change it.
- The customer types their card on Stripe’s page, not on yours.
- LeadHunter USA never sees full card numbers.
- After a payment, LeadHunter USA asks Stripe to email your customer a receipt.
- The document is marked paid in LeadHunter USA CRM.
- Your refund policy, if you write one, shows next to the Pay button.

Who it is for
When LeadHunter USA Payments is the better choice: you send quotes and invoices from LeadHunter USA CRM, and you want the customer to pay from that document, with the payment on the customer’s record and no monthly fee.

- Contractors who want customers to pay from the invoice or quote they already send
- Owners who take a deposit when a customer approves a quote
- Anyone who gets paid at the end of a visit and wants a QR code instead of a check
- Anyone who wants no monthly fee for card payments
Not the right tool
- Anyone who needs bank (ACH) payments today
- Anyone who needs a card reader or Tap to Pay today
- Businesses that want to add a surcharge line
- Crews that need scheduling, dispatch or several logins
When something else is the better choice
