LeadHunter USA Payment Terms

Version 2026-10-05 · Last updated October 5, 2026

These Payment Terms apply if you turn on "Get paid by card" in LeadHunter USA. They are an agreement between you (the business) and LeadHunter USA LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("LeadHunter USA", "we", "us"). You accept them by ticking the box before you connect Stripe.

They add to our Terms of Service. On card payments, if the two conflict, these Payment Terms control, including over the "non-refundable" sentence in Terms Section 5 and the "continued use" rule in Terms Section 13.

1. Stripe processes your payments

Payment processing services for businesses on LeadHunter USA are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service(collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these Payment Terms, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same might be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of LeadHunter USA enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide LeadHunter USA accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize LeadHunter USA to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

You also accept the Stripe Services Agreement directly with Stripe when you set up your account. That agreement is between you and Stripe. It is not part of these Payment Terms, and LeadHunter USA LLC is not a party to it.

2. Your Stripe account is yours

  • Stripe opens a Stripe account in your business's name. You can log in to it at dashboard.stripe.com. You are responsible for what is done there.
  • Stripe, not LeadHunter USA, collects and keeps your identity, tax and bank details.
  • Stripe, not LeadHunter USA, decides who is approved; holds, reserves and payout timing; and limits and account restrictions. We do not control those decisions.
  • Stripe may offer you paid extras, such as advanced fraud tools or Stripe Tax. They are optional and are between you and Stripe, at Stripe's prices.

3. We never hold your money

  • Your customer's card payment is charged directly on your Stripe account. You are the merchant. Stripe pays you out to your bank.
  • Other than our platform fee (section 4), LeadHunter USA LLC does not receive, hold, transmit or control your money.
  • We are not a payment processor, payment facilitator, escrow agent, money transmitter, bank or guarantor.
  • We are not a party to any agreement between you and your customer, and we do not guarantee that your customers will pay.

4. What it costs

FeeWho charges itAmount
Stripe processing feeStripe, under your agreement with Stripe2.9% + 30¢ per successful payment with a US-issued card (Stripe's standard price; Stripe sets it and may change it)
LeadHunter USA platform feeLeadHunter USA LLC. Stripe takes it out of each payment as an "application fee" and sends it to us0.4% of the payment, rounded down to the cent
Total3.3% + 30¢
  • Example: a customer pays $1,000.00. Stripe keeps $29.30, LeadHunter USA gets $4.00, and $966.70 goes to your Stripe balance.
  • What "3.3% + 30¢, all in" means. When our screens say "3.3% + 30¢ per US card, all in", they mean exactly the total in this table: a successful payment with a US-issued card at Stripe's standard price.
  • Not included in that total.Stripe charges these, at its own prices, only if they happen. Stripe's published US prices as of October 2026 are: international cards, +1.5%; disputes, $15 when a dispute is opened and another $15 if you counter it (returned if you win); Instant Payouts; and any paid Stripe extra you choose.
  • Your price is in Stripe. The Stripe prices shown in your Stripe account are the ones that apply to you. Stripe's current prices are at stripe.com/pricing.
  • Payments under $2.50 carry no LeadHunter USA fee.
  • We charge no monthly fee and no setup fee for card payments, and no fee of our own for refunds or disputes.

5. Refunds

You make refunds in your Stripe Dashboard, under your own refund policy. You can write that policy in Settings, and your customer will see it next to the Pay button.

What happensOur 0.4% feeStripe's fee
Full refund (one refund, or several that add up to the whole payment)We return all of it to your Stripe balanceStripe does not return it
Partial refundWe return the same share of our fee (for example, refund half, get half our fee back), rounded down to the centStripe does not return it
  • We return our fee automatically, usually within minutes. If it is not back within 7 days of a refund, write to us and we will return it.
  • Stripe says: "The payment processing, Connect and currency conversion fees from the original transaction are not returned." Stripe's terms govern its own fees.

6. Disputes and chargebacks

  • If your customer disputes a payment with their card issuer, you respond in your Stripe Dashboard by Stripe's deadline. We cannot respond for you.
  • Stripe notifies you of disputes. We try to alert you as well, but don't rely on our alerts. Stripe's notices and deadlines are the ones that count.
  • The disputed amount, Stripe's dispute fees and any negative balance belong to your Stripe account. Your agreement with Stripe governs them.
  • If you lose a dispute, we keep our fee on that payment.
  • You can download your LeadHunter USA records (for example, the approved quote and its approval certificate) to use as evidence.
  • Payment and dispute statuses shown in LeadHunter USA are a convenience. Stripe's records control.

7. What your customers can pay

  • By card, your customer can pay the deposit still owed on a quote they approved, until you make an invoice from it; or the full balance due on an invoice you sent.
  • The amount always comes from your document. Your customer cannot change it.
  • You can also charge any amount yourself with the "Get paid" QR code.
  • Deposits must follow your state's rules. For example, California limits home-improvement deposits.
  • LeadHunter USA does not support surcharges. Do not add a "card fee" or surcharge line to pass these fees to your customer.

8. What we do on your Stripe account, and what we see

You authorize LeadHunter USA LLC to do only the following through Stripe Connect:

  • Set up your account.We create your Stripe account and pre-fill Stripe's form from your LeadHunter USA details: your login email; your business name and legal name; your legal form; your business phone, email, website and address; a short description of your business; your card-statement name; and your business category. You check all of it, and can change it, in Stripe. What you submit to Stripe is your statement, so correct anything that is wrong.
  • Show Stripe's screens inside LeadHunter USA. These are Stripe's own setup, notification, payout and account-settings screens.
  • Take payments. We create Stripe payment pages on your account for the amounts on your documents or your QR code, and charge our 0.4% fee on them. After a payment, we ask Stripe to email your customer a receipt.
  • Read and record. We read the status of your account, payments, refunds and disputes, so we can mark documents paid and alert you.
  • Return our fee on refunds (section 5).

We never refund your customers, move your money, change your bank account, or pause your payouts.

What we see.Stripe sends us the payment amount and status; your customer's name and email as entered on Stripe's page; the card brand and last four digits; refund and dispute status; and your account's status and what Stripe still needs from you.

We never see or store full card numbers.Your customers enter card details only on Stripe's pages. Stripe processes personal data under the Stripe Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do.

9. Your promises

You will:

  • use card payments only for real work you provide in the United States, at the price you agreed with your customer;
  • send honest quotes and invoices, and charge only what is owed;
  • keep your business name, contact details and card-statement name accurate, so your customers recognize the charge. The statement name starts as your business name, and you can change it in Stripe;
  • follow card-network rules and Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list;
  • decide, charge and pay your own sales and income taxes. Stripe, not LeadHunter USA, issues any Form 1099-K for your Stripe account;
  • keep your LeadHunter USA login secure.

We may report to Stripe, and share information with Stripe, if we believe an account is being used for fraud, for a prohibited business or against the law.

10. Codes and waiting periods

  • Codes. Before card payments are turned on, and before you disconnect or reconnect, we email a one-time code to the email on your LeadHunter USA login. Never share it. No one from LeadHunter USA will ever ask you for it.
  • Waiting period. If you connect Stripe again after disconnecting, card payments start 72 hours after you reconnect. This protects you if someone gets into your account and tries to redirect your payments.

11. Turning card payments off

  • You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Payments. Card payments stop immediately. For 72 hours you can undo it, and everything goes back as it was. After 72 hours it is final.
  • Disconnecting in LeadHunter USA stops card payments through LeadHunter USA. To remove LeadHunter USA from your Stripe account completely, also remove it in your Stripe Dashboard, which takes effect at once.
  • Until you remove us in Stripe, we keep read access only to return fees and keep your records.
  • We may turn off card payments on 30 days' email notice, or immediately for suspected fraud, legal risk, a request from Stripe, or a breach of these Payment Terms.
  • When card payments stop, invoices you already sent can no longer be paid by card. Your Stripe account and the money in it stay yours.

12. Changes

  • We email you before we change these Payment Terms.
  • If we raise our fee, or change anything else about what you pay us, we tell you at least 30 days in advance, and the new fee applies to you only after you accept the new terms. If you have not accepted by the date the change starts, card payments pause until you do. You can accept at any time.
  • Other changes take effect 30 days after our email.
  • Stripe sets its own prices and terms and may change them under your agreement with Stripe.

13. Limits, indemnity and disputes with us

Our Terms of Service apply to card payments too, including Section 8 (Limitation of Liability), Section 9 (Indemnification), Section 11 (Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver, including your right to opt out) and Section 14 (Governing Law: Arizona law, Maricopa County).

For card payments, these points also apply:

  • (a) Fees count toward the cap. The amount you paid us under Section 8 includes our platform fees.
  • (b) To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for Stripe's decisions (approval, holds, reserves, payouts, account limits), chargebacks, or fraud by your customers or others, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
  • (c) You defend and indemnify us against claims by your customers or by Stripe arising from your work, prices and documents; refunds and chargebacks; taxes; and what you told Stripe. This does not cover what our own negligence, wilful misconduct or breach of these terms caused.
  • (d) Arbitration fees. In an arbitration of a claim under $25,000, you pay no more than $250 of AAA filing fees. We pay all other AAA and arbitrator fees, unless the arbitrator finds the claim frivolous.

Nothing in these Payment Terms limits a right you have under the Stripe Services Agreement.

Sections 5, 6 and 13, and our duty to return fees on refunds, survive after card payments end.

14. Notices and contact

We send notices to the email on your LeadHunter USA login. Write to us at support@leadhunterusa.com, or by mail to LeadHunter USA LLC, 4539 N 22nd St, Ste N, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
