LeadHunter USA CRM is a free customer book for small home-service businesses, from LeadHunter USA LLC: customers, notes, quotes, invoices and receipts in one place. LeadHunter USA Payments is the optional add-on that lets customers pay you by card.
Short answer
LeadHunter USA CRM is free, with no monthly fee and no trial that ends. You send quotes and invoices from your own phone, and customers approve and pay from a link. Card payments are optional and cost 3.3% + 30¢ per US card, all in. There is no scheduling, dispatch or team login.

What LeadHunter USA CRM does
A contractor CRM is one record per customer that holds their details, notes, quotes, invoices and payments. LeadHunter USA CRM does five jobs.
- 01
Remember the customer. A card for each customer, with notes, a timeline of the job and a stage: New, Talking, Booked or Done.
- 02
Quote. Line items, tax, a discount and a “valid until” date. A quote can carry two or three options, and can ask for a deposit on approval.
- 03
Get the yes. The customer approves from a link on their phone, or in person on your device.
- 04
Invoice. An approved quote becomes an invoice. It shows every payment already made, deposits included.
- 05
Get paid and keep the receipt. A card payment, or a cash or check payment you record, becomes a receipt on the customer’s card.
Send from my phone. On a phone, the send button opens your Messages app with the link and text filled in; you can also share or copy it. On a computer, you get the text and a QR code that opens Messages on your phone. The text goes from your own number.
It works in the web browser on your phone or computer. You sign up with an email; no computer program is needed for the CRM.
What it costs
The CRM is free. Card payments are the only thing that costs money, and only when a customer pays.
| Customer pays | Stripe (2.9% + 30¢) | LeadHunter USA (0.4%) | Total fees | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100.00 | $3.20 | $0.40 | $3.60 | $96.40 |
| $500.00 | $14.80 | $2.00 | $16.80 | $483.20 |
| $1,000.00 | $29.30 | $4.00 | $33.30 | $966.70 |
- LeadHunter USA Payments is 3.3% + 30¢ per US card, all in, at Stripe’s standard price.
- Payments under $2.50 carry no LeadHunter USA fee.
- There is no monthly fee and no setup fee for card payments.
- On a full refund, LeadHunter USA returns its whole fee; on a partial refund, the same share. Stripe does not return its own fee.
- International cards cost Stripe’s extra 1.5%, and a dispute costs Stripe’s $15 fee, plus another $15 if you counter it.
- The smallest card payment Stripe accepts in the US is $0.50.

How customers pay you by card
LeadHunter USA Payments runs on your own Stripe account, through Stripe Connect. Stripe opens the account in your business’s name and runs the identity checks. You are the merchant.
- From the invoice. The customer taps “Pay by card” and pays the balance.
- The quote deposit. The customer pays the deposit on a quote they approved.
- A QR code. “Get paid” turns any amount into a QR code the customer scans; your screen turns to Paid when Stripe confirms it. See QR code payments for contractors.
The customer types their card on Stripe’s page, not on yours. LeadHunter USA never sees full card numbers.
Stripe says your first payout is typically scheduled within 7–14 days. After that, in the US, Stripe settles card payments in about 2 business days, and your payout schedule decides when they reach your bank.

No surcharges. LeadHunter USA does not support adding a “card fee” line to pass these fees to your customer (Payment Terms, section 7). Price the fee into your work instead. More in how to accept card payments as a contractor.
What it does not do
- No bank (ACH) payments. Cards only.
- No card reader and no Tap to Pay.
- No scheduling, dispatch, online booking or route planning.
- No team accounts. One login, the owner.
- No spreadsheet import. You add customers one at a time.
- No accounting or bookkeeping.
- No texting or calling from a business number yet. That is LeadHunter USA Line, coming soon.

Our card fee is not the lowest in this table. On a $500 card invoice it is the same as Square’s free invoices. The difference is the free customer card, trade quotes with options and deposits, and sending from your own phone.
Field-service suites such as Jobber and Housecall Pro add scheduling, dispatch and team features, which LeadHunter USA CRM does not have.
When a spreadsheet is enough
A spreadsheet works while you have a handful of customers and write quotes somewhere else. It stops working when you can’t see who owes you or which quote needs a follow-up. The fields worth keeping, and the signs you have outgrown a list, are in how to keep track of customers.
Starting out? The first-month checklist for a home-service business puts the license, EIN, bank account, invoices and payments in order. What goes on each document is in estimate vs quote vs invoice vs receipt and how to invoice as a contractor.
Quotes, invoices and customers, free
