Get EV Charger Leads Before the Car Shows Up in the Driveway

EV charger requests are unusually easy to catch, because people write the hardware into the post. Level 2, Tesla wall connector, NEMA 14-50, sixty amps — those words are in the ask, not buried in a phone call afterwards, so you know roughly what the job is before you reply. Public neighbourhood threads asking for an electrician to install a Level 2 charger turn up in California, Massachusetts, Illinois and Colorado, and they read almost identically.

The economics are the reason to bother. Exclusive EV charger leads sell for $35 to $55 each from a handful of small vendors, and the click prices on this work are among the highest in the electrical trade. What is missing from that market is any of the giants — no Angi, no Modernize, no CraftJack. One of those vendors publicly lists advertising on Nextdoor as one of its own best sources, which is a fair description of what this page does for free.

Panel upgrades belong in the same conversation rather than a page of their own. A hundred-amp panel usually will not carry a charger, so the request that starts as an install turns into a two-to-five-thousand-dollar service upgrade often enough that the installers themselves quote them together. Two limits worth knowing before you buy for this alone. The work is seasonal, running well above average from late spring through summer, and it is concentrated in the states where EV adoption is — California, Texas, Florida, Washington, Colorado and New York. If you are outside those, treat this as an addition to general electrical work rather than a channel by itself.
