Install, run and uninstall

The desktop app is the part that watches; the phone app is the part that alerts. This page is the reference — the step-by-step walkthrough, with screenshots, is the install guide.

Where the app lives
- On Windows, LeadHunter USA sits in the system tray next to the clock; if it is hidden, click the ^ arrow, and right-click the icon for the menu.
- On a Mac, LeadHunter USA sits in the menu bar at the top right; click the icon for the menu.
- LeadHunter USA opens by itself after a restart on both systems.
- If it was closed, it is reopened from the Start menu on Windows or from Applications on a Mac.
When it runs
- LeadHunter USA works while the computer is awake; a closed lid puts the computer to sleep and no app can prevent that.
- LeadHunter USA turns on the operating system’s keep-awake setting during setup, so the computer stays awake while plugged in. The screen can still go dark.
- LeadHunter USA is quiet from 10 PM to 7 AM and starts again by itself in the morning.
Uninstalling
- On Windows, LeadHunter USA is removed from Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps.
- On a Mac, LeadHunter USA is removed by dragging it from Applications to the Trash.
- Removing the app stops the watching; it does not cancel a subscription and does not delete the account.
A subscription is canceled from Billing in the dashboard, and an account deletion is requested at /delete-account.

The install-time messages each system shows, and what to do about them, are listed on the install guide. Once an account is set up, the same lists appear under Setup & help, alongside what that specific account is currently doing.
