Calls in the app need internet

Scout says: No bars, no data? Then it’s Ring my cell’s turn.

Last updated:

The Line is an app. Its calls use your phone’s data or Wi-Fi, like a video call app. Here is what that means.

What it means

Calls in the app use the internet, like a video call app: your phone’s mobile data or Wi-Fi.

With no internet, the app can’t ring. Turn on Ring my cell so business calls still reach you.

The dashboard on a computer works the same way. No internet or no power means no calls from the dashboard.

Keep your phone plan

The Line is not a new phone plan. It runs on the phone you have, over its data or Wi-Fi. Keep your cell plan and your cell number.

Good to know

When the app asks to use the microphone, tap Allow. Turned it off? iPhone: Settings → LeadHunter USA → Microphone. Android: Settings → Apps → LeadHunter USA → Permissions → Microphone.

On an iPhone, business calls have their own ring, so you know it’s work. To use your usual ringtone, turn on Use my phone’s ringtone in the app’s call settings.
