When a customer texts STOP
Scout says: STOP means stop. Pick up the phone instead.
Last updated:
A customer who replies STOP gets no more texts from your business number. Call or email them instead.
What happens
When a customer replies STOP to your business number, no more texts go to that number from your Line: not from the app, not the missed-call text, not a quote or a reminder.
Words like UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL or QUIT, and messages like “stop texting me”, count too.
The customer’s card shows that they replied STOP. Don’t text them; call or email instead.
Good to know
Deleting the customer doesn’t undo a STOP. If you add them again, the number stays off texts.
If they want texts again, they reply START.
