Scout says: About 5 minutes with Stripe. Then cards just work.
What it costs
3.3% + 30¢ per US card, all in. No monthly fee and no setup fee. You pay only when you get paid.
On a $1,000.00 job, the fees are $33.30 and you keep $966.70.
Stripe can charge extra for things like an international card, a currency conversion or a dispute. The full list is in the Payment Terms.
Set it up
- Step 1: Open Card payment settings and press Set up card payments.
- Step 2: Tick the box to agree to the payment terms.
- Step 3: Check your business name. Customers see it on their card statement.
- Step 4: We email you a 6-digit code. Type it in.
- Step 5: Stripe asks who owns the business, and for your bank. Most contractors finish in one sitting.
- Step 6: When Stripe is done, the page says Card payments are on.

What changes
Invoices you send get a button to pay by card. So do approved quotes with a deposit.
The customer pays on Stripe’s page, and the invoice is marked paid by itself.
You can still take cash and checks, and mark any invoice paid the usual way.
Who holds the money
Your own Stripe account. Stripe pays it out to your bank. LeadHunter USA never holds your money. Your bank and ID details go straight to Stripe, and we don’t store them.
LeadHunter USA Payments works on top of the free CRM. Set it up and manage it on the website.
