Turning a quote into an invoice
Last updated:
Turn an approved quote into an invoice in one click, set the due date, or make an invoice without a quote.
Scout says: Job done? One click and it’s an invoice.
From a quote
- Step 1: Open the quote and press Create invoice from quote.
- Step 2: The invoice copies the items and prices. Check it.
- Step 3: Pick the due date: Due on receipt or On a date.
- Step 4: Send it the same way you sent the quote. See Sending a quote or invoice.
A deposit already paid shows as Deposit received, and the invoice asks for the rest.
Without a quote
Small job, no quote? On the customer page, choose Invoice without a quote.
Getting paid
Paid by cash, check, Zelle or Venmo? See Marking an invoice paid.
With card payments on, the customer can pay by card from the invoice page, and the invoice is marked paid by itself.
